Personal Development Coaching
Often it’s just as much of a challenge to decide what it is we want or need – let alone how to actually get it. That’s why the focused partnership created by Personal Development Coaching is such a revelation. Personal Development Coaching (PDC) equips you with the awareness and tools to focus on any aspect of your life (work or play) that you wish to impact on, achieve, change, organise, re-arrange, investigate or actualise.

The PDC partnership we have with you is a supportive, forward thinking, thought provoking, sometimes challenging and definitely action orientated experience. PDC is not any form of therapy, counselling, mentoring or training. Your confidential, non-judgmental and fluidly structured objective PDC sessions are designed to inspire you, build personal awareness, focus and develop key strengths. By using a process of personal discovery and inquiry we work with you to elicit solutions and strategies, provide on-going structure, support and feedback to define and promote your personal and work goal achievement. PDC sessions enable you to realise your vision, goals and desires with maximum impact, obtaining results with more ease, and often faster, than would otherwise be possible.
Once you have chosen your topic(s), we complete an initial 30 minute consultation with you to confirm how you wish to progress, and agree your PDC session choice. Each of your individual PDC sessions are 50 minutes duration, and are completed either face-to-face or over the telephone, at agreed times and locations to suit you. Your suite of PDC sessions comprises: the initial 30 minute consultation; followed by 3, 6, 9 or 12 individual 50 minute sessions. All of your sessions are completed with a Certified Trained Coach, governed by the International Coach Federation Core Competencies.

SDI® - Strengths Deployment Inventory

Used in conjunction with your Personal Development Coaching programme, or as a stand alone team workshop SDI® (Strength Deployment Inventory) is a proven, memorable tool for improving personal impact, utilising personal skills, enhancing personal and working relationships, promoting positive influencing, and reducing the stress of conflict. Based on Relationship Awareness Theory™ and more than 30 years of research by psychologist Elias H Porter, SDI® is an objective, practical and easy to grasp learning model that gives you tools to effectively and accurately understand motivations behind your behaviour, and the personal skills profile. The implementation of which builds more effective and productive personal and business relationships, increases self-awareness and personal impact, improves communication, and enhances problem solving.
By using SDI® you will: discover your unique SDI® motivational styles profile (deployment of strengths when things are going well, and when in conflict/opposition); explore the implications of this on your choice of behaviour in any given situation; gain knowledge of the 4 premises of Relationship Theory, and how this impacts on your life and work; identify your personal conflict sequences, an experience that equips you with the ability to recognise very early on productive (and non-productive) behaviour; and how to generate contributing creative solutions and stronger relationships.
Further investigation will also reveal a portrait of personal strengths and overdone strengths and how this can impact on individual influencing situations, how to work effectively with others, how to relate to others, and specific group working. Together an active personal plan can be created to define how you can best use your personal strengths portrait to develop effective personal and business relationships, motivate others, solve problems and resolve conflict / differences. For ease, your SDI® results and analysis of strengths, individual/group dynamics can also be represented graphically on-line.
MBTI - Myers-Briggs Type Indicator
(Personality, Preferences & Decision Making)
Based on Carl Jung’s theory of personality types, MBTI is a psychometric questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions. It is often used to support individual personal development and also in business team working. It has many applications including: objective support to help identify your career and/or life paths; enhancing your one-to-one or group communication; enhancing strategic thinking; outlining personal preferences and learning styles; defining leadership and stress management tendencies; promoting effective team work; diagnosing organisational issues and helping business working strategies.
Offered as part of your Personal Development Coaching programme, or as a team workshop, MBTI evaluates personality type and preference based on the 4 Jungian psychological types:
• extraversion (E) or introversion (I)
• sensing (S) or intuition (N)
• thinking (T) or feeling (F)
• judging (J) or perceiving (P)
Different types within the MBTI personality framework approach change situations in different ways. Some are better at focusing on the future than others; others refer to the past, or the present, because the future is an unknown to them. Some people prefer to work through procedures (_S_J)/ strategies (_NT_)/ people (_NF_)/ to just do it, (_S_P), depending on their type preferences.
Each of these profiles has their own strengths and weaknesses, advantages and disadvantages. By understanding and determining individual, team and/or organisation profiles you are able to effectively flex your personality muscles to productively adapt and create a beneficially productive environment for yourself and others around you.
16PF - The 16 Personality Factor Questionnaire
(Career Choice)
Developed by R.B. Cattrell forty years ago, the 16PF® Questionnaire is used to assess levels of personality factors to help determine: what occupations you are best suited to; assess management potential style; assist with career development by planning for precise work and career performance objectives; and provide effective training for career development.
Personality is constant relatively unchanging throughout adult life. However the way we see it is affected by our intelligence, our upbringing and our education which may have taught us either to emphasise or suppress aspects of personality. By better understanding of what your personality is, you can make allowances for weaknesses and better use of the strengths it gives you – understanding of long-term value to you.
By completing a short questionnaire that uses 16 Personality Factors measured on a scale you can create a pretty accurate picture of your personality. Combinations of factors also give a more detailed picture, and with the help of our team you will be able to uncover and recognise the “real you” that lies beneath the outward self created by your upbringing and environment.
The assessment measures levels of Warmth, Reasoning, Emotional Stability, Dominance. Liveliness, Rule-Consciousness, Social Boldness, Sensitivity, Vigilance, Abstractedness, Privateness, Apprehension, Openess to Change, Self-Reliance, Perfectionism and Tension. Five additional global factors are also measured: Extraversion, Anxiety, Tough-Mindedness, Independence, and Self-Control.
OPQ - Occupational Personality Questionnaire
(Career Capability, Behaviours & Attitudes)
OPQ Questionnaire is designed to measure your behaviour preferences and attitudes in relation to different aspect of your working life. Based on your own level of self-awareness, results are explored with you via a Personal Development Coaching Session. The questionnaire is designed to be used so that you understand your capabilities, can ensure you are well matched to your job, and ensure you effectively use your talents day-to-day and future potential whilst being fulfilled and motivated. OPQ provides value in predicting job performance, maximising selection decisions and development outcomes, and identifying strengths and areas for professional development. It is actively used in the full process cycle of recruitment, selection, development and succession.
